About Me

 Introduction

Hello World!

I am a young neurodivergent data scientist who hopes to share data science topics, coding tips, and themes surrounding neurodiversity!

Programming languages introduced (or planning to introduce) in this blog include:

  • Python
  • R
  • SQL (PostgreSQL)

I first started learning Python when I started graduate school as it was one of the most sought-after programming languages (and continues to be very popular in many fields!!)  By developing my coding skills I was able to complete a research project studying brain diseases as a student, get a job at a healthcare research facility, and develop my career in data science at an IT company.  My academic interests started from neuroscience but through my career development I am currently developing an interest in business management as well.

Related to brains, the term "neurodiversity" has gained a lot more awareness lately due to more representations of developmental conditions in mainstream media e.g. ASD, ADHD, learning differences etc.  As someone who has multiple diagnoses (namely ASD and Specific Learning Difficulty) and can be considered "twice exceptional" I am glad that there is more representation but I feel like having more diverse opinions can elevate the quality of representation and discussions in the future.  As such, I would like to contribute a bit myself.

For my readers, I hope my blog can be of help.  If not, I hope I can still be entertaining!

Sincerely,

Lukas Fleur
